Japan

Anyone who knows me knows that I have a great love for Japanese culture. Even if I didn't, however, I would still feel the way I do about the current state of affairs over there.

Yesterday morning, I put on the news for the first time in a long time while I was waiting for my first class at school. I was shocked when I saw the news about the 8.9 earthquake and its resulting tsunami. Once the shock wore off, I began wondering about the people there as well as the people in Hawaii and the west coast of the United States.

Like some, I have friends in Japan that I am concerned about. They live in Kanegawa, which I don't believe took a great brunt of the damage, but I still have to worry for quite a while because I only have a mailing address and can not contact them in any other way.

My prayers go out to all the people of Japan as well as Hawaii and the west coast. No matter how much or little an area may have been hit, it's still a rough time to go through.
